FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATE FI-UAV
Access to the Flight Instructor course – FI UAV is subject to a preliminary evaluation exam by the Training Centre “APR Cognitive Aviation Training”. The FI-UAV course is made up of a theory part and a practical one. The theory part, specific to the Instruction on UAV, lasts 12 hours and is delivered through face-to-face classroom lessons. Three hours of Competence Based Training are part of the theory course. Candidates who are not in possession of previous Instructional experience will also have to undergo a 3-hour course on teaching. At the end of the theory part, the candidate will sit an exam about the subjects covered in the course. Having passed the Theory Test the candidate will move on to the practical part of the course, which includes a minimum of 18 missions of at least 10 minutes and a SKILLS TEST with an ENAC Flight Examiner.
PREREQUISITES
Possession of valid APR Student Pilot’s Certificate Specific Operations
Experience of at least 16 hours and 100 missions as person responsible for flight on drones Preliminary entrance evaluation comprising psycho-attidudinal tests and theory-practical tests
USERS Drone pilots in possession of APR Student Pilot’s Certificate
THEORY TRAINING 15-18* hours of classroom training + exercises on flight simulator. *Candidate without previous instructor experience
PRACTICAL TRAINING 3 hours of interactive exercises – 18 flight missions (Minimum flight activity)
LENGTH Theory Course: 3 days face-to-face lessons (Including theory exam) Practical Course: 2 days (Including practical ENAC exam)
CERTIFICATION
The FI-APR course includes both a theory and practical exam. By passing these, the student will obtain ENAC certification.
